LDI Group is housed in a charming, historic building in the heart of Salt Lake City’s Sugarhouse district. Purchased in 1997 by Mr. Israelsen, the building originally served as a post-World War II telephone exchange and later as an auto garage. The building was carefully restored to its original architectural plans, and in 1998 the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, given its significance in the post war era in Salt Lake City. LDI Group was subsequently awarded the 1998 Heritage Award by the Utah Heritage Foundation in recognition of an outstanding project furthering the promotion and protection of Utah’s architectural and cultural heritage.Today the LDI Group offices house a respected collection of Dogon African art, a Japanese meditation room, a conference table built entirely from 1937 Model A car parts, original black and white photography from respected photographers including Phillip Borges, Martin Dain and oil paintings by Jose Basso, Eric Aho and Doug Snow. Our clients frequently loosen their ties and hold business meetings around the sandstone and steel table in the ultra contemporary kitchen.(Click on "Gallery" to take a tour of the office) |
